An ECG (electrocardiogram) records the electrical activity of the heart. We use an ECG device to detect electrical abnormalities in the heart that can be present with certain types of heart disease. We can also carry out ECG screening to detect any potential conduction problems in the heart prior to anaesthesia. We use the Idexx Cardiopet Telemedicine Service to interpret the ECG recordings.
